Monday Recap

This past weekend we continued in our Christmas series titled: The Reel Story of Christmas, where we are looking at some of the favorite movies of the holiday and tying them into the real story of Christmas. Yesterday we took a look at the Christma classic Miracle on 34th Street, and boy if you were there you got a sermon and a movie because there was like a total of 15 minutes of footage. Jeremy compared the disbelief in Santa to the disbelief of what we think God can do. When we look at the virgin birth of Christ it is literally impossible, yet it happened. Jeremy drove the point home when he said "The power of transformation starts from beyond yourself."

For an illustration Jeremy talked about Kyle MacDonald, a man who traded his way up from a red paper clip to a home in Canada. Here is the story. Check it out!

Worship was great as well. We introduced a new tune by David Crowder to go along with the topic of Miracle on 34th Street called, What A Miracle. Here is the set list:

1. What A Miracle by the David Crowder Band
2. Angels We Have Heard On High by Relient K
3. Do You Hear What I Hear by Copeland
4. O Holy Night by Shane and Shane
5. How Great Is Our God by Chris Tomlin
6. No One Like You by the David Crowder Band
